ABOUT MY MINISTRY
I believe that each of us is called to ministry in our own way. We are all born with the urge to develop our gifts fully and share them with others, for the purpose of healing the world. When we can see, honor, and nurture that divine spark in one another, we begin living in the Beloved Community.

I was fortunate enough to find Unitarian Universalism over a decade ago, after spending most of my life as an agnostic, unchurched, non-affiliated and non-religious person. After a successful career as a social worker, followed by many years as a stay-at-home parent, my call to professional ministry emerged as a new direction for my life's path.

My dances with Unitarian Universalism have brought me a deepening understanding of how each of us makes meaning out of the stuff of our lives, and how nurturing a spiritual life can bring more depth and awareness to that process. Doing this work together, in a covenantal community, opens in us greater possibilities, amplifying our individual efforts into a movement: one that has the potential to save individual lives and change the world!

For the past three years, I've immersed myself in the heart-and-soul-work of learning, growth, and transformation, taking on a new identity as a professional Unitarian Universalist minister. Now I'm ready to put it all together, to weave a new tapestry out of old and new threads, and continue my journey with a faith community I am called to serve.

My ministry weaves together the many threads of my life into a single rich tapestry: finding joy in chosen communities, expressing the sacred through music and the performing arts, bringing compassion, respect, and healing love to relationships, creating meaning through connection with the awe-inspiring natural world, and workings towards our vision of a just and healthy society.

At present I live in Buffalo, New York, with my husband, Greg, a chemistry professor at Canisius College, and our son, Rafael, a budding musician and dancer who is almost nine years old!
